Fictional Archives: a photographic archive installation
Size can be changed

I arranged a certain space of the exhibition hall as the victim's private room. When people walk into this space, they can see the victim's personal belongings in the room, find and pick up her cell phone in a certain corner of the room.

In this project, I utilize the power of the dialectical relationship between the absence of images and the presence of the rape incident to try to expose the malpractice of the absent image system. This is an archival cross-media image project, it is also an attempt to establish an image spectrum of rape.

Tlimeline of the rape case is organized on the wall

The cell phone left by the victim after suicide is an important clue throughout the whole case. In the cell phone, the audience can find the truth of the rape case and all the most private things of the victim. The rape images are slowly unfolding to the spectator in the victim's private room, in the medium of the cell phone, and the interview of the TV.

The absence of rape images is also the absence of the victim's subjectivity. To some extent, the victim is present but absent. Everything in the room (especially the cell phone) is the embodiment of her presence, the carrier of all the imagined archival image information collection.
